If you throw these solicitations away without shredding them, you open yourself to identity theft. Why should the banks be allowed to place your financial safety in jeopardy every day with this insane influx of junk mail? I think this should be made illegal. Anybody agree?

IDENTITY THEFT?
THESE QUESTIONNAIRES DO NOT HAVE YOUR SSN?
WHAT IS THE ID THEFT, YOUR ADDRESS AND PHONE NUMBER IN THE PHONE BOOK?
IF YOU EVER CHECKED THEM OUT, YOU CANNOT GET A CARD UNLESS YOU GIVE THE IDENTIFYING INFORMATION THEY HAVE ON YOU ALREADY WHEN THEY RUN A CREDIT HISTORY CHECK WITH YOU GIVING THE RIGHT SSN?

No. Commercial speech is protected under the first amendment. But yes, this does open you up to identity theft.
