My boyfriends step mother ordered a whole bunch of things in his name. Magazines, collectables, and things online. We aren’t in contact with her and we live 3 states away from her. She opened a whole bunch of diffecet acconts in his name and I just called all of the places she ordered from to cancel them. Now I am wondering how to go about filing for fraud or identity theft. If someone has been through this before and knows the person who is doing it or you know how to go about filing for it. Please!!

Call your states atty generals office for information. They will give you instructions on what needs to be done. Good Luck and I hope you the best.
My sister did the same thing I told her if she didn’t pay for the stuff she ordered I was going to call the police on her fortunately she paid. If I were you I would tell her what you just read and if she doesn’t do what you say then contact you Attourney Generals Office and tell them what she is doing and do this in both states. They will do an investigation and find that she is stealing from you and more than likely she will have charges put up against her for fraud. Make sure you call the police right away, or you will be the one that pays for her BS.. Then don’t have nothing to do with her again well for at least awhile..
